Where’s Your Heart?

It’s 3 days until Christmas. It’s time for a “heart check.” I’ll be honest here: my heart isn’t exactly where I want it to be in order to welcome the Christ Child. Between school, my job, and physical preparations for Christmas, I’m shocked that it’s almost the day we celebrate His birth. Where did the time go? I feel that I haven’t done much to welcome Him. I’m working to carve out space in my heart and time to be with Him as I prepare to celebrate His birth.

Where is your heart? Are you frantically rushing around trying to find last minute gifts, your bank account dwindling and your heart nowhere near Christ?

Did you fall so far from God, or never feel like you knew Him at all, that you’re wondering how you’ll possibly ever get to Him?

Are you on the way your way to Christ, even if you realize that your heart isn’t exactly where you want it to be quite yet?

Is your heart at peace no matter what’s going on, with Christ at the center?

I don’t know where your heart is at this moment. But I do know that as we prepare to celebrate Christ’s birth, He’s ready for you to seek Him. He’s sending you a star of some sort, a beacon to light the way back to Him.

Jesus, the Child and King, is ready for you to seek and to know Him, the greatest Gift that you’ll ever receive in your life and for eternity. No matter how far your heart has strayed, His arms are open and ready for you.

3 days until Christmas.

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,  “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”-Luke 2:10-14
