The Beginning Is Not the Ending.

There have been many prophetic words regarding 2019. Believers are geared up, awaiting miracles and blessings. They are ready for changes and for the prayers that they have fervently prayed and cried over to be answered. There is a buzz of anticipation in the air. (I know a grandmother who was greatly encouraged and delighted, after a horrible 2018, that a beautiful, ginger-haired granddaughter made her entrance into the world 8 minutes after midnight on January 1st!) So, yes. The Lord has surprises, blessings, and life shifts awaiting His children in 2019.

But…What if your year began nothing like the prophecies? What if the beginning of your year has looked topsy-turvy and nothing short of a disaster? Are you having trouble believing that it can all be sorted out? My 2019 has started out with many blessings. But it also isn’t “figured out” as I hoped. So much is up in the air, including very unanticipated developments which require me to trust even more deeply in my Heavenly Father.

Faith is such a challenge to our humanity. Faith requires us to believe, when our human eyes can’t see anything resembling what God has promised. Faith asks us to believe when the total opposite of what God has promised is in front of us.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

Grasp onto faith. The beginning is not the ending. Let God do His thing. As always, He’s working behind the scenes. And with Him, nothing is impossible.
