More and more, I’m realizing that life and its intricacies come down to the timing. Life is all about timing! If you’re still waiting for a job offer, or a better job offer, take heart. If you’re still waiting for the right home to open up, or for your offer to be accepted, take heart. If you’re still waiting to meet your spouse, take heart. If you’re still waiting on the blessing of a child, take heart. If you’re waiting and wondering about the timing of anything, take heart! All of these wonderful things in life are all about timing. They cannot be forced, because there are multiple things which must be in place for them to come together. God sees behind the scenes and knows why these things cannot happen quite yet.
I read a blog post containing stories of those who lost their lives and who were spared on 9/11. It was all about timing. One woman got to the airport very quickly, and ended up on an earlier flight. That saved her life.
I think back on my own life and some of the people who have been instrumental in my life. Meeting them was all about timing! If I had made a certain move only a few days later, I would not have met certain friends! Now, I can’t imagine life without them! I also think about friendship in general. If I had not been at a certain point in my journey of development, and if those friends had not been at that point in their journey, it’s possible we would not have connected. Timing, timing, timing!
Think about a great meal. Rice can be undercooked and unpleasant to eat if the cooking process is stopped only a few minutes early. If a meal is taken out of the oven too soon, it won’t taste quite right, and it could even cause you to get sick. Timing!
There are married couples who would not have ended up married had they met at a different point in their life. There are people walking around in this world who were finally born after many years of their parents struggling for years with infertility. God’s timing!
Let’s seek to trust the Divine timing in everything. Let’s live faithfully in the seasons we are in now. They’re preparing us for the next seasons, some of which we’ve prayed for endlessly. It’s His timing, and it’s up to us to live within that.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11

Wow, this is so true and articulated very beautifully, and it couldn’t have come at a better time in my life. Thank you!
Praise God! I’m so happy that this word was timely for you! God bless you abundantly and continue to guide you.
